sound card doesn't work with XP

I've just installed Windows XP on my system, everything seems working perfectly, except I can't play music with it. whenever I tried to play MP3, or listening to online radio, there is no sound coming out from the speakers. I am not sure if this has anything to do with my sound card, since it's a pretty old but reliable sound card, I am using a diamond monster sound MX300 sound card. Any advices will be appreciated, thanks.

um... since diamond is dead, are there even drivers for it? Diamond sucked with drivers to begin with.

Check that sight out! Great for Aureal Sound card issues. Aureal is Dead. DIamond is very much alive. Hello RIO VOLT?

Yes they no longer support this card. However I was able to get my MX300 working in 98 and DIRECTX 8 Through Vortex of sound!
