sound card dilemma

hi
the sound card of my pc is supportable to 5.1 configaration and the speaker's specification is also 5.1.........
but when i want to play it , 5.1 supported softwares like -media players11 , jet audio, real one player, vnc player e.t.c are not properly ................

only power dvd 7 is working with this 5.1 configaration .............

Then how can I play media player 11.(windows)

You say it doesn't do ....... properly.

Can you get any sound?
Does the MP sieze up?
What does happen - please be more specific, and are you using Vista or XP?

i cant hear the dolby sound ...........
Mp was seizing up sometimes but not so frequently............
i am using XP Profess...
