Sound Card Decision...

I am building a computer and I hope to save some money on my sound card. At first I will use headphones until I get enough for speakers. The comp will be solely for gaming, so I won't spend more then $150 or so on speakers, which kind of limits me to 4.1, so I don't think I need a 5.1 sound card, unless you all really recommend it. Again, comp will be almost exclusively for gaming. Which sound card under $50 fits this criteria?

I would say that you can't go wrong with a SBLive Value with digital out.

do you think it is worth it to go from a soundblaster PC128 to a LIVE? .. or no?.. thanks for your opinion..

or would i may-b be better to cash out the extra 20 bucs for the santa cruz card...
