I have an Asus P4C800Edeluxe mobo. I have been using the onboard sound circuitry. I am now going to switch from onboard sound to a Audigy 2 ZS. I figure I will have to uninstall the AD1985 Audio Driver and the Soundmax application. I am not sure about the AC'97 Audio BIOS setting. It is on AUTO now which allows the BIOS to detect whether any audio device is being used. If an audio device is detected, the onboard audio controller is enabled, if no audio device is detected, the controller is disabled. Configuration options: AUTO, Disabled. I am thinking I should disable it. Anyone know the proper config? Thanks.

Disable it and you should have no problems. It's not necessary to uninstall the driver, if you want to you can simply disable the device in the device manager.
