Hey guys, I have a set of Logitech Z640 speakers and my Audigy 2 died just now. Now I have two cards in mind: Auzentech XMystique Gold and CL X-FI XtremeMusic. Since I mainly use analog out, which sound card would better fit me?
Do you have sound on your motherboard? I have always wondered... if I have 8-channel sound onboard, why would I need a soundcard... Are they really any better?
Don't get the X-Mystique unless you need DDL, and you don't
I hope there's a good deal on X-Fi still. I think ~$60 deals were going on recently. I wouldn't spend more on the soundcard than the speakers themselves. If you're going to be upgrading to another set of computer speakers eventually, the X-Fi would be a good way to go.
But does he even need one is my question... why not just use onboard audio? I am asking because I am in the process of building my new system and trying to decide if I want to bring over my Audigy 2 or just use the Realtek 8-channel that is on my new board. Any thoughts?
I am located in Toronto and right now, both the CL XFI Music and XMystique Gold are priced the same (around $105CDN)...So XFi should be good to go then?
