Just saw this today while browsing thru BB B&M.

Sound Blaster Audigy 2 = $54.99
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum = $124.99
Sound Blaster Extigy = $74.99

Philips Dynamic Edge 4.1-Channel Sound Card = $19.99

These are also listed on BB.com at these prices but some are sold out >>> Linky

Oh, they also had several speakers on clearance.

Creative Inspire 2.1 = $29.99
Creative Inspire 5.1 = $49.99
Logitech Z560 = $149.99
Labtec Spin 75 (2 speaker basic) = $9.99

Here is a Link to some of the speakers. Click on the "Sort by Price" option. I can't get the next page button to work.

EDIT: Made another stop this afternoon at the same BB. They were out of the Audigy 2's but still had the Platinum and Extigy. My BB was mixing these "old" ones with the new ZS series. So if your out there looking in the B&M you might find the old and new mixed in the same slot on the shelf with the clearance priced shelf tag. This could be to your advantage. ;) ;)

There should be a lot of Audigy 2 6.1 sales now that Creative has switched to the NX 7.1 boards. But it was too appealing, I bit, now am I going to put in in my NFORCE 2 machine.....?

People say TBSC is better for listening to music and Audigy 2 is better for gaming.

Is the soundblaster extigy any good? I like the idea of an external sound unit.

The way you can pricematch it to CC is that go to BB.com and add the item to cart, then enter your zip code for nearest store, print out the cart that says your nearest store have it in stock. Do the pricematch the same day that the cart printed out and CC cannot refuse it.
I would have bought one but I bought it for $80 5 weeks ago.

to heck with it, I have a TBSC and I bought one anyway.

Get three games and DVD-A sampler...and you got 30 days to figure out whether you like it or not...

Don't think this is a hot deal. Creative is probably just clearing the way for its new flagman - Audigy 2 ZS.

how good are the audigy 2's compared to a SB Live value? is there a difference in sound quality/cpu utilization or what?
