what can you do w/ the remote control that comes with the new Live Drive 2?

i'm looking to control WinAmp and PowerDVD mainly, if the Creative software doesn't support it can you download and use a third party software that will? i've seen several program designed for IR remotes, however not specific to the creative one, was wondering if that'd do it.

yea this pisses me off...one of the reasons i bought the platinum 5.1 was for the remote feature so i can use my comp like a stereo too. the remote doesn't even work w/ creative software. i tried going to the next track but it only displays the words "page down" every time i press it. so i just threw the remote back in the box

It's like Creative cd-rom with ir remote, I think it's quite useless,
when you're using your computer, mostly you're setting in front of your computer, so you can use mouse or keyboard to control directly, most of time your hands are on the mouse and keyboard, isn't that faster to do something than move your hand to grab the ir remote and point to the ir receiver, then press buttom?
