After disabling the sound on a Giga -Byte GA 7ZM MBd with a Duron 700Mhz, 64mb.Installed SB live on system and have been using System from November. I had downloaded from Creative Labs website the driver for SB Live ME
Edition and got everything OK.
Now here is what's happening
I had wanted to upgrade with 128 MB of memory. This was done without any
problem. When the computer was restarted later all ok except for no sound.

The Sound Blaster applications were not functioning even though the memory
upgrade had no interference whatsoever. The sound card cannot be detected
and the following errors are displayed with the usual blue screen:

VSYNTHD(01) + 0002A699 Error : 0E : 0028: D8956699

VSYNTHD(01) + 0002DA0C to 3A72 Service 1

Please help and advise needed.
Thanks. Chalit

Perhaps with the ram upgrade it changed the memory usage adresses causing a conflict. Try uninstalling all the Liveware software and remove the SB Live in device manager and reboot..redetect and reinstall liveware ME..if that doesnt work you may want to try a different slot.
