Sound Blaster Audigy Question

I'm looking at getting new round cables for my case. Quick and easy question. Anyone know if the AUD EXT cable that runs from the card to the mounted drive is just a standard IDE cable? I assumed it was, but if so, will a round standard IDE replacement work? Only documentation I can find is on Creative's site and it's just a pin assignment chart. If I was a well-versed hardware guy I could probably figure this out from that chart but I'm just a newb trying to purdy up my case

Nope, that a special cable from Creative. Just leave it alone.

If you look at the pin block in the cable you'll see that some of the pins are filled in. It's a proprietary cable. I don't think a rounded IDE cable will work.
Although...I suppose that those pins being filled in is just for orientation. It's not like having a connector which goes to nothing would hurt hurt anything though. I suppose it depends on whether any of the wires are connected to anything but the corresponding cables on the drive.

Thanks for the info guys. I have the card on the very bottom of the case so the ribbon just lays along the bottom anyways. I just figured it'd look a lil better than a gray ribbon with a round cable. Not really imortant, just wondering
