Sound Blaster Audigy Input Question

I have the SB MP3 Audigy soundcare and Altec Lansing 5.1 Speakers. I have a wire going from the back of my Hughes Satelitte Reciever to the Input plug on my SB audigy so I can listen to stuff from my TV etc.. on my computer speakers but for some reason only the subwoofer and my left front and right rear speakers only work. I have the wire coming from the back of my satelitte reciever split between the left and right audio thing but for some reason the SB audigy or my speakers are only recieving the left front and right rear. I have tried switching it around but even if I only have the left side audio thing goin out it still only has the right speakers playing. Is there anyway to correct this or am I gonna have to just deal with it?
