Hey, I happened to lose my installation cd between now and when I bought this ( around xmas). I reformatted the other day, and upon download of the software and drivers on the creative website, the software is completely different. What I had installed from the cd allowed me to adjust all the spacial settings as well as intuitive help with polarization and how the speakers where set up. There was a THX tab and what not and from what I recall it was all launched from teh media source GO thing.

I downloaded and installed what I could, but now I only have a "creative audio console" which is just a regular tabbed window for settings. It doenst have even half of what I did. The media source thing only shows for burnign and what not now. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the software that came on the cd? (I know lesson learnt, dont lose the cd). I have tried all the downloads off creative, and a few of them (like the THX console download) say it cant find the correct ______? Is this because I dont have the original program?


Please lend a hand. I am disgruntled as the the crippling of my new sound card

You actually want to use the bloated software that comes on the CD rather than the updated drivers that only include the control panel

The issue is, that the drivers and control panel from the site need some ofthe stuff off the cd to install. Such as the DVD audio, I cant install it as i dont have the original drivers to update. This goes the same for the THX "update", I need the original drivers in order to update. So thereby I have crippled drivers
