Well I have the said card, its the regular retail Audigy 2, its not platinum, ZS or anything...so heres the deal...
My setup is in the sig (as if it matters, at least i dont think) and im having the following problem:
I have my sound card hooked into my home theater system through a sony receiver that has a 5.1 hookup on it. What I have done is run 3 extremely long rca jacks to the 5.1 hook up, out of the corresponding jacks from the Audigy 2 sound card (Jack1=front speakers, jack2= rear, jack3= center/sub). Jack 1 and Jack 2 seem to have no problems, the sound card can distinguish between left and right, front and rear speakers, and has no trouble with the center speaker. My problem lies within the subwoofer. I have a 350watt sub that is getting no use because it is not receiving any bass sounds to it...in fact its receiving nothing at all. I know I have the RCA jacks hooked up in the correct fashion, as my onboard sound that came with this motherboard works all channels flawlessly...bass and everything...hooked up the EXACT same way. For the life of me i cant get anything to play (songs, dvd's, games etc) and produce bass through the sub, using the Audigy 2. I have tried redirecting all the bass to the sub, turning up subwoofer volume, latest drivers, CMSS options, both 1 and 2, fade, just about anything that i could think of. Problem is this is the first sound card i have ever bought so im probably missing something simple, but i dont understand since i can get it to work with my onboard 6.1 sound card...if i cant get this audigy 2 to work i dont plan on keeping it, although i can already tell it sounds MUCH better just using headphones and my desktop speakers...so if anyone could help, please please please give me some ideas, thanks!!!
