I used to have a LG bluray player connected to the sharp LCD Tv by HDMI. Then I had LG NB3530A sound bar connected to my TV by optical cable through the optical audio out on my TV.
My bluray player broke and I got a new one today, which is LG BP340.
I hooked it up to the same set up, but no sound through the sound bar. TV speakers work fine, but no sound through the sound bar.
I saw a couple of options for Audio on my bluray player for DTS and PCM.
Looking online it seems PCM works with digtal optical cables, but then why is there no sound coming through my player. When I hook up my old bluray player, then the sound works fine..Not sure what is happening, can someone help?
