Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but this issue relates to both my sound and video. I have a 1/8 headfone jack -> RCA cable that I have hooked into my receiver. Whenever I plug it in, I receive feedback (a low bass sound) from my computer. I have also tried hooking it into my tv Audio In with the same results. I also have a Radeon 9700pro card with tv-out, and when I plug this into my TV's video in, I receive visual feedback, as in horizontal lines moving vertically through my screen. This problem just started, and I don't know what could be causing it. I have an old 1Ghz gateway computer, and I'll be glad to supply more system specs if necessary.

Edit: I am also getting feedback across my different A/V settings on my receiver. My TV is on AUX and if I plug my RCA's from the computer into Video 3 for example, I will still get feedback on AUX. Plugging in the video will also produce feedback through the speakers...

Thanks Alot,

You may have some grounding issues. Are your TV, reciever and computer plugged into the same circuit/outlet/surge supressor?

Nope, the computer is plugged into one, and the Tv / Receiver are in another...

Another Hour,.. Anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this? It just started, and I didn't make any changes that would have started it..

Ground loop - very common with any kind of analog electronics. Plug them into the same circuit, or get a MB/sound card/receiver with an optical sound output and use that.

Also, please do not bump threads more than once every 12 hours.
