QFT, and obviously not everyone hates him, he's constantly selling more records than a majority of other artists out there. Hell, nobody is liked by everyone, that's not possible.

Wow, you are a moron. That is the same thing with Kobe Bryant yet you rail on him like the 909er you are even though he has more money and popularity than most. #1 selling jersey, etc.

What a tool.

Except Kobe will be remembered in 20 years, whereas soulja boy will not.

Soulja has what 4-5 hits, it's not like he was a one hit wonder. And as bad as he is, there's no signs that his success is slowing down. So maybe in 20 years he'll still be making music. You're putting a lot of faith in peoples music tastes getting magically better in the coming years. If anything, they're constantly getting lower and lower. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's around a long time. The music business makes no sense now. And even if he's not, he had one of the biggest songs of the past decade. I still hear about Hammer & Vanilla Ice, it's not that far of a stretch to think in 20 years Soulja Boy will still be remembered.

WOW 4-5 HITS?

4 albums 4-5 hits, sounds about right for a popular "rap" artist!

He has 2 official albums, and every song he's released as a single went on to be a hit. I hate the dude more than you do, but I just don't see him going anywhere. Shit happens...

God I can't stand Soulja Boy. This song is quite possibly the worst hip hop song so far this century. There's no good rhyming, there's no good refrain, the beats do not make you nod your head, hell the song isn't even catchy in any way. This guy needs to die, along with his fans hopefully so that others like him will not be encouraged. Thank god for some of the links to other good hip hop songs in this thread.

The only guy that was allowed to slur his way through a rap song with little effort was ODB. RIP ma brutha.
