Soul Calibur II & BB Gift Game Certificate Question

To those of you who preorderd it, where would the best deal be? I think I saw at BB or Target (B&M) that if you preordered, you get a free artbook with your order. Might have been Gamestop also. I tried searching the forums here but nothing came up with my search for "soul". Can't wait for this game.

So these BB game certificates that have $5 off, are they good only for games or can it be accessories also? I was thinking of getting a memory card, but if I recall, the $5 off is only for prices $29.99 and up, or was it $19.99? Oh yeah, I just got back from BB and the SCII Demo Disc was ONE PENNY. Not too shabby.

I'm almost certain it will be $39.99 within a week or two of release. CC usually has a $10 GC deal on hot new games.

And if you just went to BB why didn't you look at the gift coupon yourself?

Ya know, I looked all over and I couldn't see any. Maybe I'm thinking that GAME coupons and GIFT coupons are different?

In my store, they are next to the registers. They come in a clear CD case with big type saying, "Gamers Gift Card." The coupon is on the back side (opposite the gift card). Basically, it's a blank giftcard stuck to a $5/off coupon. Hope that helps.

Now can I just go purchase a gamer's gift card, and use it right then to buy a game and get instant $5 off?

Yep. Last time I did it, I just put $40 on the card for a round number. Then, I opened it up and handed him the card, coupon and game. He even remarked, "Smart choice." So, they know the deal, just most people don't do this, probably because they are lazy or don't think about it.

Not sure about CCs. The two or three times I've don it, I've used cash.
