i am just a starting user, so please be patient with me🙂
i have got P4, Prescott 3.0, 512 ram and 80 gb,
connected processor to my old 15inch screen....

making my website , so i am using Dreamweaver, Corel Draw and Adobe programmes....
first days it was freezing during work up to 30 times a day...
then my supplier changed Ram from gygabyte to asus....
it stopped freezing, but now during work the screen goes off, writing: new screen mode....
and rebooting by itself....and the problem with freezing appears again...
well i hope u understood....
please help....what is essential to know here...

it sems to work fine when using just word or surfing net...

Could be a lot of things, bad memory, overheating, weak power supply. Also Asus and Gigabyte are motherboard manufactures, they don't make RAM. Prescotts are power hungry, and run warm, so my first guesses would be weak or generic power supply, or overheating. Could you give the brand and wattage of the power supply? And knowing what motherboard is being used would also be very helpful, video card as well.
 
the PSU specs will be helps full , as stevty said prescotts are power hogs and can easily consume over 100watts of power. as for heat, yes they do run hot and it could be part of the problem, but when a P4 over heats it doesnt hang or freeze the system. it slows itself right down, you can still carry on working....well at least long enough to save what your doing

dig out those PSU specs and Brand name, and im sure there'll be people to help
