Sorting List of Figures by page number in Word 2010 or 2007

I'm making a list of figures but it doesn't sort properly... Here's what i get

Figure 1
Figure 10
Figure 11
...
Figure 19
Figure 2
Figure 20
Figure 21

Using Word 2010 beta. I'll try and test with 2007 later but in the mean time if anyone knows how to sort the list of figures (table of contents but for figures) by page number please let me know.

Give your single digit numbered figures a leading 0?

Figure 01
Figure 02
...
Figure 09
Figure 10
Figure 11
...
Figure 19
Figure 20
Figure 21

That would work but Word doesn't let me pad the numbers with 0s. that's a huge bug, i can't be the only one with this problem

How are you inserting the captions? If you use the "Insert Caption" menu item on the "References" tab, the figures will sort numerically (1, 2, 3...10, 11, 12 etc) on the table of figures.
