Sorta want to join a ping pong club irl

problem is i would have to take public transportation to get there. also, another thing i fear is when i actually get there, people are unenthusiastic about the table sport or It's dead or empty, thus making my trip there a waste and crushing my hopes of getting into a sport with people irl

It`s not called 'Ping Pong" !! It`s called Table Tennis and there are many clubs throughout the United States...

Community centres have drop in ping pong time. Or if you are good enough buy a table and play against yourself.

It's called Penhold.

Penhold is different than Japanese. On the back side you spread your fingers in Japanese style, Chinese style the fingers are stacked together like grabbing a pen, thus penhold.
