Last week I bought a new Antec case along with a 350W PSU. Hooked them up to my new KA266 and 1.4 T-bird and the PSU was DOA! After lots of probing and frustration, I wrote to Antec and asking for a RMA. They replied with some troubleshooting tips. They suggested that I jumper the green and black wire on the MB connector, which I did, and the PSU fans ran for the first time. WTF? Plugged the PSU back into the case and she ran like a top.
Couple days later I was playing around with some case cooling fans and accidently shorted one of the power wires on the PSU. It was dead again. Tried the jumper trick again, and it came alive.
Question is....is there a circuit breaker or something in this switchable PSU that resets when you jump the green and black wires?
