Why would you want Monarch to build your comp? Unless you completely have no idea how to build it yourself (it's really not difficult) Also if you just order your stuff from say newegg or ZZF then you can have it in 2-3 days instead of Monarch which you will have to wait for them to build it THEN ship it.

Don't get the Venice. It has been brought to my attention that the newer Venice cores are relatively lackluster in terms of overclocking . . . wait until the Opteron 144s for 939 are out in full force . . .

As for the Soprano, it is a decent case but heavy since it's steel. Also that 430W PSU isn't so great (only 18A on the 12V rail) Check out the Aspire X-Navigator for $150 instead . . . the PSU on it isn't top of the line but 500W and 34A on the 12V rail is nothing to scoff at . . .

the eVGA 7800GT is $350 on Newegg (lifetime warrenty)

Also not sure what "Shin-Etsu G675 Thermal Grease" is but I doubt it works better than Arctic Silver 5, yet costs more.

DO NOT GET Win 2000 Pro, its not good for gaming. Get Win XP Pro OEM w/ SP2 instead . . . $142 at Newegg. Just as stable as Win 2000 but better for gaming . . .

As for memory get OCZ EL Platinum Revision 2 instead . . . now $153 on newegg with rebate.

You'll save about $50-$150 on Newegg (depending on components)

Yeah I find Monarch to be a bit on the pricey side. Also, don't waste time and money waiting for Monarch to build your computer when you could do it yourself. It really isn't that hard like 1Dark1Sharigan said. I had never seen the inside of a computer, and I learned how to build a PC by myself with all online help.

I don't mind if the case is heavy, I don't intend to carry it around. :)
Ok, I'll look at the graphics card etc at Newegg too.
I had heard good thing about the Venice? I'd really like to get this machine this month, will something better be out later in Oct?
Thanks!
