i had something similar happen on 2 geforce 4 cards and it ended up being bad ram (on the vid card that is). really a pain in the ass and an inconvenience!

I guess he just pressed the "print screen" key on his keyboard and pasted the screenshot somewhere in a gfx programme. 🙂

It was very hard to see to do it but yeah I hit control and printscreen and saved it in paint,I didnt think it would work but I sent ati that image as well.

Yeah I think that makes sense.I gave it a few shots of compressed air and it ran without artifacts.although only for a short time 30 min or less.

I am not o/c cpu or gpu
I have 3 case fans
1 cpu fan
1 gpu fan
and a 10 inch house fan blowing directly on the cpu/gpu area.

I constantly run 100 or more mb above my ram (ie.. I have 512 mb and usually run above 650mb in use)
I tend to game, use photoshop cs, and flashmx a heck of a lot.

I constantly run 2 instances of dc

I also run a server (apache, mysql, perl, php, and cgi) and d/l constantly.

ok I think thats all

well your computer use is not abnormal, its sounds just like a bad batch of product. as long as ATI keeps honoring the RMA process id keep sending em back. when my card starting doing that i went as far as to buy a brand new power supply because i thought my card wasnt getting enough juice and that ended up being $75 down the tube.
