The company will also drop pricing for the Core 2 Duo E8500 and E8400 from US$266 and US$183 to US$183 and US$163, respectively.
What an awkward pricing window. Why would they make the E8500 and the E8400 so closely priced.

That is just about the last thing I wanted to read. Why is the waiting game so easy to play?

The Q9450 didn't hang around long, did it ? Might as well wait on the 9550 now, but the mad scramble to buy these chips will resemble the E8400 rush at launch. I hate adding the item to cart only to see the dreaded 'Not in stock' pop up as soon as you do.

No mention of e3140.
E7200 dropping to $113...nice! I can definitely wait.

same here, I was tempted to buy it this week...but I can wait :)

You would wait 2 months to save $20.00? By then you will want something else anyway. So take the plunge now and enjoy!

$20 is $20 man, that's a couple weeks worth misc(coffee, tea, etc..) purchases while at work, or half a case of diapers, or a couple nights of dinner for us, or 2/3 tank of gas for the car, or you get the drift...I can wait.
