My roomate(also my cousin) played a joke on me a few weeks ago. He and his friend hid in my house and came out with ski masks and scared the crap out of me. They had kicked the breaker off so I had no lights to see who it was. I have a few friends who work for the sheriff's department. My cousin gets off work at 11 and he will come by the house to change clothes. My deputy friend is going to answer my door and handcuff him and read him his rights and then put him in the back of the cop car. I can't wait to get his ass because he deserves it for scaring the crap out of me, so I am going to return favor.

I ended up not doing the prank tonight because I talked to my cousin before he came home and he was in a bad mood.

Maybe another time if I can arrange the same thing.

That sounds like a great plan. He "broke" into your house and you are having him "arrested". Very fitting if you ask me. Get picts if you can, hehe.

I hate practical jokes. They were ok when I was a kid, but when I was like...!25!...and my similarly aged friends were still playing them = :disgust:

You know, not everyone wants to go through life with a stick up their ass. The cop is off-duty and their vehicles can be used as personal transportation. It is actually encouraged that they drive them from place to place to help out should any situation warrant it.

Hahahaha! Millenium, aren't you being a sissy there? Don't hate, compliment! I'm messing with you.

But for real, I had those moments a lot when I was a kid. I was sooo scared of darkness and watched a lot of horrour movies that scared the crap out of me. So, my siblings would pull a prank on me often to scare the living hell out of me. I could never succeed in avenging their plots. LOL! It's all good now that I'm grown up, though. They can't scare me anymore. :p

It's been weeks sinceit happened, so what's with the revenge?

I dont know what kind of crazy backwards department you are in... but if that guys supervisor, or any other cop for that matter drove by and saw that... they would ask what the hell is is doing. And when he says he's playing a joke, he is in trouble. When a cop handcuffs somebody, says they are under arrest, and reads their rights, you can't just let them go. joke or not, once the officer says "You are under arrest", or anything of that nature, they have no power to release that person. I'm just saying that if anybody saw that, be it a cop driving by, or a neighbor calling to see what's going on, that cop has a lot of explaining to do.

I live on a dead end and it is night time here. First of all it would have probably not played out just like I wanted it to, but who cares. You are the only one having a problem with this thread. Most people like to have a little fun every now and then. I fail to see how you have such a problem with it.

Go back and play pretend cop with your car that is dressed up to look like a cop car.

BTW, my cousin has a degree and Criminal Justice and that is my major. We have a lot of LEP friends. Every single one I talked to about this laughed about it. Only you feel the need to crap. Why?

When a cop handcuffs somebody, says they are under arrest, and reads their rights, you can't just let them go. joke or not, once the officer says "You are under arrest", or anything of that nature, they have no power to release that person.

That statement is full of lies. I have seen police officers release people all the time after they got what the wanted or when they wanted to scare some punk kids. Who appointed you moral authority of law enforcement? Just because you are an explorer doesn't mean you have the end-all of any situation involving Law Enforcement.

Whatever.

They had a bunch of alarms tripped at work and he had to fix them before he came home.
