ok, those of you who saw my other thread, long story made short, i found my permit

ok, im taking my liscense test on august 1st. at Los Gatos

what should i do to prepare? What kind of parking do they make me do? parallel parking? What should i remember during the test?

i took mine in like '94 in oakand. didnt have to do any highway driving at all. dont forget to practice 3-point turn.

mine was at mountain view, not far from you.

drive around city streets and residential areas, make sure you take turns ok, slow well enough and not suddenly (watch for that). they'll make you back up in a straight line, but no paralell parking required. never touched the freeway, few stop signs and lights. oh, and a right hand turn into the bike lane. i think they did a u-turn but i doubt it, i can't remember. changing lanes, too. make sure you shoulder-check like a maniac whenever you're about to do anything.

Here in FL, you just drive around a residential area, practice parking (no parallel), and do a 3-point turnaround 🙂 It took me under 10 min.

Come to TN. Easiest test you can take. Don't even have to be a legal resident of the United State 😉. All they made me do was take the car around the block, stop at a stop sign, then park the car back where it was.
