Sore Tongue

Has anyone here have or know of someone that has or had a sore tongue from reasons other than been bitten? How did the soreness go away.

Yeah I had a raw spot on the end of my tongue a few weeks ago. It hurt for about 4 days before just healing on its own. I'm not sure how it got there, I may have bitten it but I don't know.

It's probably a canker sore. Nothing really can be done for it, other than applying some over the counter ointments to numb the pain temporarily. Should go away in a few days, but watch it carefully ; if it starts getting infected then you need to see a doc for antibiotics.

Did you have something in your mouth that you didn't know about?

Getting a 12ga. needle shoved through it hurts a little...

Pain goes away after a week or so.
