If it's really sore then go to a doctor........ it may be infected.

I drank a ton of water and gatorade. Today I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. He prescribed 3 ibuprofen every 6 hours, 2 Kytec antibiotic pills a day, 1 mucylex (some kind of mucus related drug) and nasal spray.

I my nose and throat were extremely dry, to the point that I was bleeding from my nose. I'm doing better after only half a day of treatment.
 
Hot water + honey + shredded lemon peels = winnar. You could also go to your local theater and watch a film about elegant Antarctic creatures...

seriously, water will take out those mofos. not really, if they're viruses, but psychologically it works.

Add an aspirin or two to this mixture:
Mix ¼ cup of
vinegar with ¼ cup of
honey and take 1 table-
spoon six times a day until
the mixture is gone.
 
you need antibiotic to get rid of the sore throat before it get inflammed. all other methods listed only make you feel better so you can sleep at night.
 
I've got a throat-numbing spray...Chloraseptic...that tastes like sh!t but works really well. Numbs the pain almost instantly for temporary relief.
 
I take painkillers to mask the pain. normally hydrocodone or oxycodone, depending on what is best for my needs at the time.
