Your boyfriend does know the fourth hole is behind the left knee and not the armpits, right?

I've had some swollen lymphnodes this winter so far and went to the doctors a few times for them.

They get swollen when your body is fighting off a sickness, typically an infection.

If you have been having season colds or something like that, or any kind of sickness, it could be why they are swollen.

One thing that my doctor did tell me, was that lymph nodes that are swollen and are tender, it is a good sign, because that is reactionary and means they are swollen because they are fighting off something (as oppose to having lymphoma or something).

Yeah I was sick like twice between summer and now. I was also wondering if deodorant has anything to do with it?
How long did your sore arm pits last?

i didnt have sore armpits, i had a swollen lymphnode on the back of my neck, and one right below my trap muscle on my right side, behind the clavical bone.

the one behind my clavical was pretty tender and would randomly feel like this tiny sharp pain, but if i touched it it would feel really tender and just irritated.

i was on medicine to get rid of what was thought to be the cause of it (sinus infection) and the small soreness i was having gradually went away after a few days.

the one on my neck was around for a lot longer, few months, gradually going down. it is pretty much gone now but if i feel around for it around my neck i can still feel it. sometimes they don't go down 100% ever.

EDIT:

i also am allergic to everything and have seasonal allergies, and in the winter times, i'm pretty much a walking cold.

Trim your thumbnails.

Also, try a fragrance free detergent like All Free.

Could also be a cyst, I've heard of them causing soreness even before they get to a state where you can physically feel them. My GF has one, her arm pit was sore, she didn't go to a doctor and about a month later a noticable bump was forming. It got bigger and bigger and ended up popping leaving a decent sized hole. She finally went to a doctor only after it popped. The pit seems to be a spot a lot of people get cysts too.
