Sopranos is good?

I don't have cable but since this show got such great acclaim i
went ahead and rented the 1st season dvd...disk1, which has the first 4 episodes.

I gotta say..its alright but not that great. Am i missing something or does it get much
better later? coz i'm done watching the 4th episode and i'm not sure if its 'awesome'.
What i do know is it makes me swear a lot and think a lot of nasty, violent thoughts
about people around me who so much as look at me...then having a heart attack.

I love watching the sopranos cause i grew up around that area.... Love when they go to Fountains of Wayne, i used to drive past that place nearly every day
