To install Sophos, you have to log onto their web control portal, then download their Mac installation package.

Their installation package then needs the INTERNET, because it downloads probably another installation package.

Is there any way of just getting the off line installer, so it can install itself on the machine without having to have the INTERNET access as a requirement?

They seem to discourage it, but there is a stand-alone installer out there if you search for it.

However be aware the antivirus software uses a fair bit of RAM. It was using 600 MB on one machine of mine.
