Sophos Anti-Virus

Question about Sophos. Any of you use it and have good experiences with it? My main problem with this is that at my work we were all forced to switch from independant anti-virus protection to a kind of server-client anti-virus solution. Had to find a spare box and load Windows Server 2003, then load a Sophos console on that machine. Anyways, I like the ability it has to deploy to any machines located on the domain and do updates, tell me what the machine is running, and if he has a problem. However, is it secure enough so that if any thing was to happen to the sophos console(say a bad update or something?) that it won't spread to every computer on the network?
