Wait, people here actually SUPPORT SOPA?

Come on, ATOT. I thought you guys were better than that. Sometimes I have to question wtf you guys are thinking.

EDIT: It is really frustrating to see so many people trying to work BACKWARDS in regards to the internet. God, I hate politics. Like most of the congressman actually understand the issue...

Quite the opposite, majority of us don't, just a few misguided trolls here support it.

Like the guy below?

Because some of us took the time to actually read the purposed law and look at what it actually does and doesn't.

Look, the ones who didn't read the law and understand it are the ones who are supporting it blindly from the top proposed level. Supporters hear "this bill is meant to stop piracy" and think "oh that is a good thing" and support it.

Once you read the bill and understand its effects, I don't see how you can support it. So no, don't tell me that I didn't read it. You have it backwards.

I see potential issues with the law...ways piracy sites can get around it, the potential for sites such as AT, Youtube, etc., to get hit because someone posts copyrighted material that they shouldn't, but I also see a serious need for the government to do SOMETHING about the fucking piracy that's so rampant on the internet.
Are the proposed laws going to be the solution? I don't think so. Hopefully, there will be some sense written into them before they're passed...BUT, Washington being the corporate whore-house that it is...it will probably pass as written, and it will take a bunch of lawsuits and challenges to get it corrected.
