Just put together a computer last night...

Old Computer:

Athlon XP 2000+
Asus A7M-266
256MB DDR PC2100
Radeon 9600Pro
60GB total hd space
Old Antec Case

New Computer:

Athlon X2 4400+ (at 240x10 @ 1.34 Vcore)
MSI NEO4 Platinum/SLI
eVGA 7800GTX
2x1GB OCZ Platinum
NEC 3540A
Seagate 7200.8 250GB
Lian-Li V1100B

All I can say is... WOW. Very large step up. Right now prime testing both cores, CPU temp is at 46C according to Everest... very pleased. I'm pretty content with getting 2400mhz (4800+) with a vcore of only 1.33/1.34. I may push more later. Also, I ran coolbits' recommended overclock thinger for the 7800gtx, and it suggested to run my card at 515/1350... is that for real!? I wasn't aware that 7800's should overclock that well... insight would be appreciated. :)

Thanks!
what are you going to do with your old system?
I'm just gonna retire it to my mom who is gonna use it in lieu of her laptop for grading papers, checking email, etc (she's a professor).
and what kind of sound card do you have?
Using the onboard 24bit SoundBlaster Live!. It's not the greatest, I know, but I'm coming from an oldschool SoundBlaster Live! Value and with my first gen Promedia's I don't think I really need anything better... yet ;)
