Sooo when exactly is "Cell" computing going to change the World?

Anyone have any insight into cell computing? I'm looking to buy a new system fairly soon so i don't want to spend a bunch of money and wake up to find everything going to cell.

frys isn't always the place to go to build a computer.

Cell is basically a highly parallel chip, its not going to be useful for general computing. It would be good for physics/graphics but lacks decent flow control for programming.
