Fly into London, hit Amsterdam, Paris, Italy (Venice, Rome), then home.

This is all within December 25th- Jan. 9th.

Few things, We loved London, so we had to go back, train from London to Rome is cheap, overnight, hits paris. I have always wanted to see rome, so that is our final destination.

I love traveling in the winter, no lines, and cheaper!

and you're cold & miserable... travel in september. It's still the off-season price (damn half the price) it was still god damn hot (t-shirt weather) and europe was beautiful with everyone out on the streets, outdoor drinking, etc..

I have done it once in the winter, and its more peaceful, less chaotic then the usual. I can look into September for sure, but I bet plane prices will be up a few hundred still.

All that in 2 weeks? You're not going to get to see 10% of what you should see.

that was my first thought as well. Seeing 4-6 of Europe's greatest cities in 2 weeks is a joke. You could easily spend 2 weeks in just one of those cities and still not see all the incredible sites they contain.

entirely. In our last trip we went to Paris and Rome spending a total of 10 days. We could have spent 10 days in EITHER city and still felt rushed.

OP you'd be better off spending 1 week in a city then going to another IMO.

Ok well that clears it up more... still 5 days in Rome, let alone the whole of Italy is going to be rushed. So much to see and do (and eat).

most likely itll be fly into london, get used to time change...again. 2-3 days. Train to Rome = hits paris for a night (been here before for 5 days, so we somewhat know the place), then overnight to Rome. That gives us 10 or so days in Rome, and Rome does not look that big :p.

do they have a lot of trains/buses that head to the other big cities in italy?as long as I end up in Rome , as that is where I plan to have my flight head out of.
