I don't mean like a couple feet... like 6 feet; underneath the other side of my desk. Every day I have to HUNT for it... takes at least 10 seconds of searching my couple.

sounds dumb; but it's annoying. I should glue it to the floor...

ha, I feel the same way, AND they take my water bottles off of my desk. It got to a point where I put a sticky on them that says "NO"

Coincidentally, my office trashcan was moved this morning too...

It's a conspiracy, I tell ya!

I might just have to setup a webcam actually. I fail to understand why they would move it sooo much... grr

You just forget. It's funny, but when you are plowing through the office emptying can after can, you kind of zone out and then suddenly you've got a can in your hand and you can't remember exactly where you picked it up, so you just pick a place that looks like a logical home for a trash can.

This annoys me as well, to the extent that during my brief stint as a professional office cleaner-upper, that I started to consciously make a mental note of where a trash can was before I picked it up.

By the way, if you want to help your cleaner-upper, finish your damn coffee (or dump it out) BEFORE you put the cup in the trash can. It's pretty annoying to go to dump a can and have coffee or some other liquid come splashing out all over the place.

Oh, and don't put copier toner cartridges in the trash can either.

Good idea but first, cut the bottom off. Place waste basket back on top of cut off bottom. Fill waste can lower half with novelty spring snakes (compressed). Put heavy stuff on top of novelty springsnakes. When the cleaning crew grabs your can, they will die of heart attack. Take pics of aftermath the next day at work. Post them on ATOT. Profit:p

Look for new job, file for unemployment. :p

Rinse and repeat as necessary!

Holy Crap!!!!! 10 seconds!!!! Think of the possibilities you could do with your extra time of 10 seconds a day. You might even figure a way to bypass the space time continuum in a matter of days with all that time on your hands!!! Or at the very least, you could post at least one more message on ATOT in that amount of time.

Find a way to hook it to your electrical outlet.

You could try some reverse psychology: When you leave for the day, place the trash can in the spot where you've been finding it in the morning.

Throw a brick at his truck.

I used to have the same problem. So I kidnapped the janitor's son and sold him into slavery.
My trash can still doesn't get put back in the right place, but I figure we're even now.
