I know, I know, in the game a little late. Set it up yesterday and already have found 8 friends that I have lost contact with, including my high school sweetheart from when I lived in Toronto and a number of other good friends I lost contact with over the years. Yeah, this site is awesome :)

Stop it, you're clogging the tubes and blocking me from getting my internets.

As for Facebook, it's another good time-waster like ATOT.

Lol. The more friends you get, the more stuff gets posted, the more time it can waste. Ain't it great?

A friend of mine I hadn't talked to in ages started up a Facebook note for all his friends to let all those back home (he is currently living in New York) know that a friend of HIS recently became a Blue Man for Blue Man Group and will be doing an invite-only show when he travels to Chicago. In short, I wound up getting front-row center tickets in a private performance, free of charge. :D

Yep, Facebook rocks. :)

It's an illusion...ever seen the real Facebook whores? They sit around all day finding and adding practically random people and gathering friends like fricken medals. Obviously no one is REALLY going to have hundreds upon hundreds of real connections -- especially the teenieboppers who've only been to high school and a short while at college. ;)

Seriously. I only have about 200 right now, built up over 3 years (junior year HS through present, college). On the other hand, the social lights of my HS class now have about 600. Which is IMO total BS.

As unappealing as myspace and blogging combined. I actually do things and go places with my friends and acquaintances and don't really *lose touch* with anyone that I don't want to lose touch with. So no thank you, I don't want to see your ugly mugs just as much as you don't want to see mine, and if someone wants to find me I'm not exactly hard to discover.

Obviously not.

FAcebook > Myspace, especially back when Facebook was exclusively for colleges. It was an elite network back then. Now it's filled with idiots who used myspace (esp high schoolers)

I don't see how anyone could find multiple people they know on facebook/myspace. I don't know anyone who has a facebook page, and only know a couple who have Myspace pages, which i never visited.

Yup, of Facebook, Myspace, and Friendster, it's the only one that can be freely and universally accessed by cell phone

So just because you can't, everyone else can't either?

You just have crappy friends.

Facebook is great, especially a way to find out a lot of information about a person you just recently met
