The funny thing is that I've downloaded a few "Private" files from Direct Connect, and they weren't all that great... There's much better pr0n, freely available.

That may just have some potential. There are an amazing number of folks out there that have no concept of alt.binaries.* whether it is movies, pictures, mp3s, or pr0n. They charge them some small fee and give them poor quality junk while selling off the name lists to all their pr0n spamming friends.
