true, but if sony truly has a good product, i do believe they will do much better than the Rio's and the iaudios.

my friend has the 20gb sony player they have out now, ND-5 or something like that? with the black n white display

ok its not as fashionable as the ipod (ipod is like the new mini...people dont buy it becuase its good, people buy it because its fashionable)

but damn its builtwell, and sounds alot lot better than the ipod, then theres the volume!

Don't the both of them, Sony and Ipod, need special software to load mp3 onto the player?

I thought Apple screwed up when they came out with the shuffle, but they're fixed it with their new Ipod Nano. That thing is really nice looking. Thinner than shuffle and finally have a screen and controls. No radio, but I doubt they'll ever have that.

Hmm... This thing doesn't have an AM/FM tuner either. Am I the only person on Earth who wants this feature so I can catch live events like breaking news and weather reports? 🙁

both this and iPod are, excuse my language, simplistic playback devices. If you want radio, line in, or voice recording and you want this to be sony you need a Minidisk. Which are great and cheap btw and I am sorry to see them die away while the mp3 players glow and take over....:brokenheart:

I've actually just started looking for MP3 players.
Even so, I have a hard time deciding what to get...

I've narrowed it down to a few though:

The samsung YP-T7Z:

I would've already gotten this if it wasn't for the small 1GB memory limit

the samsung YP-T8

This one supports up to 2GB, but i'm not too keen on the looks or the price

The sony HD3:

More memory than I'll ever need for MP3's, small, but expensive. This is quickly becoming my first choice

The apple iPod Nano:

Small, good looks, perfect memory size, but ummm... $300...

which one would you guys have? My music collection is only 1.5 or so GB, so the 20GB sony is overkill, while the samsung YP-T7Z is just a tad too small. The nano has the perfect memory size, but is way too expensive.

blah choices choices.
