Well for those who are bashing Sony , I believe that they make the best hardware when it comes to portable Audio, for example the E-507 is just amazing in quality build and technological features and so are the 1 GB optical magnetic discs that they make that have a 100x write speed and almost infinetly rewritable and cost $ 7 only, and how about the Atrac3plus format you don't hear much about alot of companies being able to make their own successful compressed Audio format.

But Sony has to be the worst software vendor there is on the planet period. With BS starting form their absurd copyright implementations till their fcked up rootkits those A$$HOLES!!!!

Main problem with ATrac is that it was the only thing that worked on many of their music players for sometime. It is a great format from what i hear, sounds better than MP3s, just proprietary. But, sony has corrected this mistake, nearly all of their portable music players support MP3 now. I do not lump SOE together with Sony BMG or Sony Consumer Electronics. They seem to act in various ways and i dont see the rootkit bundled with my Everquest just yet😉
