Sony's afraid.

Here

Edit: New HD Xbox 360 trailers. Text

They've been doing this for a while now.

I don't have any real loyalties to any of the big three, but at least MS doesn't have to resort to name calling.

I can't wait to see if as they say, "The PlayStation 3 will be superior to a Windows Media Center PC."

One out at the same time or one out now?

Playstation will always win. I don't care if xbox has better specs, playstation still wins. Then again I'm a playstation fan and always will be one 😀

thats sad

Josh, you've got it wrong. The system that's the most difficult to pirate games for (that has online support) will win.

by only improving the graphic performance and increasing the output resolution of the current Xbox, [Xbox 360] won't change anything from the current world of videogame consoles.?

Sorry if i'm not aware of this, since i really don't keep up with the console news... but how is the PS3 going to change current games? aside from better graphics and output resolution? Does it come with a 3d holographic box so we can play in real 3D mode?

Whatever machine has Tekken and GT will have my £££. If they switch to Xbox360 I'll get that. I only care for those 2 games and a few others.

Sony pretty much already has. Link

When the PlayStation 2 was released in 2000, it broke the gaming console mold by including support for playing DVDs. Now, Ken Kutaragi, president of Sony Computer Entertainment, is portraying the PlayStation 3 as an all-around entertainment and media machine that will not only play games, but will also store and play back video. In a series of two interviews with Impress PC Watch, Kutaragi revealed that the PlayStation 3 will become an "entertainment supercomputer" for the home.

"The PlayStation [3] is not a game machine. We've never once called it a game machine," stated Kutaragi at the beginning of his latest interview.

Ah, I just love Playstation because all the games that I love usually come out first/only for the Playstation (Metal Gear, Grand Theft Auto, etc)

Thats what I'm talking about, their saying the Xbox 360 isn't really a next generation console and that it just boosts graphics. What odes the PS3 do again?

Xbox 360 claims to do that to. And it's coming out sooner.

And yet, it's still called the Playstation... 😛

Xbox360 could be the victor if they accepted a bigger loss on the consoles and launched at $150. Better yet, they could give it to you free with a subscription to Xbox Live Gold.

The seller for me was that previews for the xbox360 games were a meh, while the ps3 demos actually made me

Weren't most PS3 demos confirmed CGI pre-rendered?

Yeah. Its what the games are "suppose" to look like. Sony's hype yet again.

The xbox360 is indeed a xbox 1.5.

They really show nothing new at e3 that the xbox, if it was just a bit more powerful, cannot do.

Vintage Girlzzzz rooockkk :disgust:

Yup PS3 demos were pre-rendered. And xbox 360 demos were running on machines that were supposed to be 3x less powerful graphic wise than the actual console.

Yes, and the Xbox 360 demos were @ 1/3rd of it's true power.
