And yet, you can get WiFi cards in any format for around $50 now, before any rebates.

Man, that Sony nameplate sure is expensive.

Another thing to remember about the 802.11b cards is that the 802.11g cards are already selling with MSRP list prices as low as $69.

Okay, quit crapping on his post. I had to go to 5 BestBuy's to find one of these things! And for those that don't know this is a CompactFlash adapter, and no you can't fing them in 802.11g, let alone at $69. A lot of people would love one of these cards, as they draw very low power. It's great that tokyojoe found another supplier, this is still less than the MSRP on them, especially considering a lot of people were finding them marked at BB in the ~$140 range.

CF 802.11b cards are freely available for <$59 without rebate... I got my DLink for $19 after $40 rebate about 6 months ago...

I'm never owned a sony pda so I'm not sure if they can accept any CF WLAN adapter (since so many sony products only allow for sony additions) but if they can this is a cold deal.. If not then maybe it is a hot deal..
