I have a Sony multiscan w900 hooked up via VGA--->BNC cables
Without the ati drivers installed for the videocard I get any resolution, including 1920x1200 but with TERRIBLE stuttering.
When I install the ati drivers for the card, I can't get the videocard to output the monitor's native resolution after I install it's videocard driver. It will let me select above 1600x1200, but the resolution doesn't actually change, it only scrolls to incorporate that size of a desktop. It also sets up two displays under display config even though I only have one. Even after this is disabled, it does not fix the rez problem. The scrolling is odd and something I've never seen before, if I put my mouse towards one end of the screen the display will scroll to center there.
Also, I cannot install the sony w900 monitor driver... when I try to, it says to keep using the default microsoft software.... something like "windows could not find any drivers better than what you are currently using" but then under driver info it says there is no driver installed.
Please tell me what I should do.
