so i've been dabbling with SV Pro for a while and ..
well, let's say i'm not a great professional. my results have been poor, even with the help of youtube videos.
now i'm aware that every video production sw will take some getting used to, but me and Vegas didn't start off on the right foot.
i can't import MP4 videos. or a few, but rather important, other video formats. known bug, but most fixes didn't work for me.
i've set everything to SUPER UBER RENDER quality (which for some reason, is NOT the default setting) and my videos still come out looking like dog ass.
it crashes. it crashes way too often, maybe 1/3 times. i'm on a 4670k@4.2Ghz and 8Gb of ram.
i might spend 2 hours rendering a project to find out it has a green flash at the beginning of the video (not much, half a second, but still wtf).
some of the controls mystify me for how ridiculously hidden they are.
anyway .. i'm sure it's an awesome sw and i just need to give it a little more love, but .. "i think we should see other people".
so.. advice?
what do you use? are you casual or pro? how much does it cost and does it have a free trial?
i'm looking to render some gameplay videos, adding my own audio tracks; it will generally be splicing of multiple video tracks, so it needs to be quite a good UI. effects such as fade ins etc ..
eventually i will also need greenscreen (it's pretty much a must), so i'm not looking for any sw with "easy" in the name.
if you think i should stick with SVP, say it.
