Sony Vaio Z1

I was checking out laptops, when the Sony Vaio Z1 caught my eye, and its looks really impressed me. I was wondering if anybody has any experience or opinions on this laptop. It seems that its performance isn't the greatest, probably due to the older Mobility Radeon graphics. I also heard that the drive isn't removeable, but I'm not sure about that one. Is there a laptop with similar looks, but with better peformance? Otherwise, is there a way to upgrade the graphics? I've heard that it's possible with some laptops, but I don't know too much about this. I don't know why, but looks seem to play a factor in choosing a notebook. A laptop could have amazing performance, but if it looks like crap, then it's not very appealing to me. I know, I'm shallow. Any help would be appreciated.

If it had sony's new XBrite display i would be all over it, but i havent been to overly impressed with the screen on it. Seems to be very bright on the bottom and pretty dark near the top. I've also seen two of them with backlight issues come back to our store. (I work at CC)

Granted, maybe its just our display model, and i seriously love the looks/weight/features, but the screen bothers me.
