Sony Vaio wont turn on

So, i was working on my homework and my battery said critical battery, and just shut off.
Now when i try to power it on, it just sounds like it's turning on, and the green power light comes on.
The screen stays black and nothing get's powered up.

What i've already tried is changing the battery, and power cord, and plugged it into another monitor.

So, basically it just won't turn on. Anyone have any ideas at all? or if not, anyone know if i should trust Fry's or Bestbuy with it?
