Sony Vaio Question

Anyone in here familiar with the Sony Vaio line. My neighbor is having problems with her POS desktop and I wanted to know which hard drive manufacturer Sony put in their boxes? Thank you.

It is. But the bracket holding the HD in place is preventing me from seeing the manufacturer. And the way it's laid out in this mini-tower makes me not want to go over there and start ripping things apart. I'm hoping someone with a Sony Vaio PC can clue me in.

If you're too lazy to open the box and look, just look at the auto-detect info in the BIOS, or even the device manager in windows...

I'm sure they don't use one line of hard drives, because none of the top tier builders does.

I have a VAIO RX670 and it has a Maxtor.

I agree with buleyb, just go into Windows Control Panel-System-Hardware-Device Manager-Disk Drives to see what brand is installed.
