sony vaio problem

🙁 i can't open any sony software that came with my laptop (fx215) or the winXP modem driver update b/c these programs don't "think" that the laptop is a sony vaio! any ideas on how to get it to realize it is a vaio?
 
Is this a brand new laptop that you bought from the manufacturer? If it is, just return it and get a different one. Unless you changed something on it (ie, updated it to Windows XP) you shouldnt be having any problems.

If you did update it to XP, well, your on your own as far as Sony is concerned.
 
it was an update to winXP, and i figured i was on my own as far as sony is concerned, thus the post here 😉
