I'm having trouble figuring out a laptop that got dropped off. The owner claimed it was working but now doesn't turn on. And he's right! The computer seems completely dead as if there is absolutely no power getting to it.
The model is VPCEE25FX, a relatively recent notebook with no signs of being dropped, water damage, or other forms of neglect. The power adapter works and I've tried several outlets so I think the problem lies with the computer itself. No LED are active when plugged in and the battery does not charge. Holding the power button down for several seconds and having the lid in different positions has no affect.
So, laptops are certainly not my area of specialty but I have to say this one seems like it's done. Is there anything else I can try or am I just going to have to recommend a replacement? I am not sure about warranty status and will have to ask the owner...
