im trying to connect my usb flash drive to the laptop.
laptop does not notice anything is attached.
tried to attach my canon s500 camera via usb, same thing, no reaction by windows once usb is plugged in.
what can this be?
 
do a windows update, dl any drivers for your mobo, and laptop. If after that no usb devices work at all on it, then you have a busted usb port.
 
problem solved!

went into device manager deleted all usb host controllers
windows restarted and redected everything, so it works! 🙂
